About Naadya

What this is

Naadya is a wellness and education platform exploring how Indian classical music — particularly Hindustani and Carnatic ragas — may support everyday goals like relaxation, focus, meditation, sleep and emotional balance. It is built for students, adults, musicians, caregivers and anyone curious about listening with intention.

How the AI works

Every raga in the library carries structured information: tradition, mood, emotional associations, wellness goals, time of day, musical characteristics and research notes. When you complete the Raga Finder, Naadya scores every raga against your goal, mood, available time, tradition preference and free-text description, then returns the highest-ranked match with the specific factors that produced it. Nothing is picked at random, and reasoning is always shown.

Recommendations separate three kinds of statement: traditional associations (culturally documented), research notes (what studies do and do not support), and AI reasoning (Naadya's inference from your inputs).

What this is not

Naadya is not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, and no raga here is presented as therapy for a disease. Much of the material about raga and wellness is traditional or preliminary rather than clinically established, and Naadya labels the evidence level for each raga so you can judge it yourself. Please speak with a qualified professional about any health concern.

Prototype notes

This is an early build. Raga records come from a local sample dataset, audio is a synthesised demo drone rather than a copyrighted recording, and saved ragas live in your browser only. Accounts, a hosted library and real recordings come later.
